Getting Married In Florida
Marriage License in Florida
You must both be over 18 years old and have a vaild government issued ID.
You must both go to ANY county clerk in the state of Florida.
Florida Residents must wait 3 days before they can use the marriage license. U.S. Residents must provide Social Security Number.
Out of state residents there is no waiting period and can get married the same day the license is issued.
There is a 4-hour premarital prep course that a Florida resident can take to bypass the waiting period. The course has a fee but you get a discount from the clerk for taking the course so in essence it is free. https://www.floridapremaritalcourseonline.com/
City Clerk Marriage License fee is around $90. License is good for 60 days and is valid in any county in Florida.
No witnesses are required to have a wedding ceremony. Just an ordainded Officiant or Notary can officiate your ceremony.
Prior Marriages requires the date and location of the end of marriage (divorce, widow or annulment)
Space Coast Rain
TIME OF DAY - Dry season: 10-1130 or sunset. Wet season: 6-7:30am, 9:30-10:30 (Rains a lot 2:00-6pm)
SEASON - Dry Season is October - May. December, January, February & April are considered the DRIEST MONTHS on the Space Coast. June-September is the rainy season.
Beach Wedding Permits
You do not want to have your beautiful moment interrupted by beach patrol rolling up on you and ruining your wedding ceremony. There are some gray areas, but best off getting the permit if time allows or have your ceremony at a location that does not require it.
Cape Canaveral
Cocoa Beach - All require Permit - 30 days in advance even just 2 people.
Patrick Space Force Base - No permit if no chairs and under 25 people, over 25 and chairs requires permit at least 10 business days in advance.
Satellite Beach - No permit if no chairs or arch. Must call for $150 permit if chairs, arch, etc. 30 days in advance.

Indialantic Beach
Melbourne Beach - No permits required.
